Centennial Parklands
The Foundation is grateful for the support of Centennial Parklands Dining. Find out more on our Corporate Partners.
Centennial Parklands provides around 360 hectare of space for a diverse range of activities and visitors. The Parklands receive over 10 million visits each year, while it is great that such a large number of people enjoy the Parklands it is important to balance this to ensure the sustainability of the Parklands.
Volunteer contributions enhance the environment of the Parklands for the native fauna and visitors.
Volunteer activities such as planting, weeding and mulching are important to preserve the Parklands for future generations. It is anticipated that the native seedlings planted will re-vegetate the banks in the long term and provide additional habitat for wildlife as well as adding to the visual amenity of this very popular area.
Corporate support is valued by the Trust and is important in sustaining the Parklands.
A Ranger will meet your group on the day to provide an introductory briefing and to distribute the equipment.
Please ensure that your staff bring a hat, sunscreen, and water, and wear appropriate clothing and footwear. We are happy to provide the appropriate horticultural tools and equipment for your group to use on the day.
A donation of $75 per person to the Centennial Parklands Foundation is appreciated to cover expenditure for the plant stock and aftercare, tools, staff on the day and site preparation.
